For fans of bands like Fugazi, Fifteen, Avail and The Ghost, Bully in the Hallway is a great new addition the Chicago punk rock scene. With these bands as their influences, Bully in the Hallway combines great lyrics, fierce riffs, and an uncontainable stage presence.
THE AFTER SCHOOL SPECIAL (formerly The Eighth Grade)
Songwriter Ross Dimun on Rhythm guitar and vocals, Aarron (1 take bake) Bakker on lead guitar and background vocals, The Colonel Josh Shapera on Bass, and Legendary Chicago Drummer and Stoner Larry Beers on drums combine their talents to create a rock and roll band with great hooks, great riffs and great melodies. The After School Special draws influence from The Stones, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Dylan, and The Who, but with a style that is all their own.
SND ON SND (ex Hirudin)
Snd On Snd (pronounced "sound on sound") is from Chicago, where it plays melodic post-punk that eyes D.C. and Dischord Records. As much as they love wailing feedback, they also like a good pop hook. Think Versus, Rainer Maria, Jawbreaker, Jawbox...but more handsome.
